Executive Education
Most Solution Provider executives have experienced the challenge of bringing new learning into the organization. The executive attends an industry event and comes back with key concepts to convey to the management team for them to evolve, assimilate and put into practice.
Despite their best intentions, however, sometimes the managers who stayed home fail to catch the excitement and the concepts don’t spark fire as the executive had hoped. The phrase, “I guess you had to be there,” might come to mind.
Service Leadership’s executive education service solves this challenge by delivering targeted, critical learning in a customized and affordable package. By bringing in the appropriate Service Leadership principal to speak directly to the management team, they gain direct access to expertise in the most engaging way, to pose questions about specific obstacles and to discuss fresh strategies.
Our objective in all executive education engagements is to generate the “ah-ha” factor among the management team that the executive experienced, and then show the team the path towards execution in their specific environment.
In conjunction with an executive education session, you may want to leverage the transformative power by first benchmarking the company using one of the Service Leadership Index™ offerings, to bring everyone’s understanding of current performance to the same level. In addition, exclusive interactive tools and helpful templates from Service Leadership’s unique library may be included.
The process for delivering an executive education engagement includes:
- Pre-briefing session with the appropriate Service Leadership principal,
- A draft agenda by Service Leadership for executive review and approval,
- The optional benchmarking noted above,
- A final agenda sent by Service Leadership for executive review and approval,
- On the scheduled date, the executive education session takes place,
- Within a week of that date, Service Leadership provides the executive with summary notes and recommendations based on our experience with the team during the day’s engagement.
Executive education sessions typically run 1 to 2 days, with the second day sometimes held two to three weeks later. (More in-depth requirements are typically structured instead as consulting engagements with education components.)
